About the Author

H.C. Vale has always carried stories in her head—entire worlds, characters, and plot twists just waiting for a place to land. After years of imagining them, she finally picked up the pen and brought them to life. Now, she writes stories filled with love, heartache, healing, and heroines who refuse to go quietly.

She lives with her husband, two Siberian huskies, and five cats (yes five—certified crazy cat lady status unlocked). When she’s not writing, she’s usually lacking sleep and over-caffeinating to compensate, hanging out with friends and board gaming, playing video games, or dancing poorly in the crowd at a concert. Music fuels her creativity. Lately it’s the haunting sounds of Sleep Token, which is almost always playing while she writes.

Where the Light Begins is her debut novel, and the first book in the Crown of Nyvenya Series.
